Hello everyone,
After careful thought and consideration, I’ve decided to list my lacquered MRP-CC tuba for sale. I purchased this instrument from a prominent professional in the Chicago area, and it is truly a remarkable horn. As shown in the photos, there are a few minor dings, but nothing that affects playability or performance in any way.
I’ve played about half a dozen of these models, and this particular instrument clearly stands out at the top of the list. The only adjustments I make are pulling the first slide slightly for micro-intonation and managing the 2–4 valve combinations, which tend to run a bit high for me personally. The low register is very easy to play and extremely open, with only a short acclimation period needed. The upper register is also very responsive and plays in tune with ease.
The tuba will come with the blue B&S gig bag. The instrument is currently located in Houston, Texas. I’m asking $11,500 OBO and am flexible for the right buyer. I’m also willing to drive 2–4 hours to meet a serious buyer.
I will consider trades for select instruments plus cash.
