For sale: Hirsbrunner HB-2 (HB290) C Tuba, 5 valves, built in 1986 (probably made by Peter / the father).

• Valves recently cleaned and aligned by renowned Quebec technician Michel Bathalon
• Original brass/plastic composite valves still installed
• Despite the original valves, the valves have never stuck during my ownership
• 5th valve tubing has been modified to a straight configuration instead of the original loop
• Includes a gig bag

Used Hirsbrunner C and F tubas have recently been listed for around $12,000–$14,000 USD.

My asking price is $10,000 USD, as this instrument still has its original brass/plastic composite valves. That said, I have never experienced any sticking issues with them, and they should be more than adequate for 98% of players... or if someone chooses to invest in a set of modern metal valves, the market for used tubas continues to rise, so there's a good chance it could be worth $16,000–17,000 USD in ten years. Lol.
