B&S PT-12 F tuba, 4+2 rotor setup, lacquer

I'm posting mostly to gauge interest for this. I am looking to sell, but really only to the right buyer and for the right price. Asking would be $9500 (cash, cashier's check only). Gig bag included, in excellent condition. Bobo Solo mouthpiece also included

Got the horn in 2019 from Jim Andrus who bought it new about 7 months before selling it to me. It was exactly what I needed during my master's degree, but now that I'm teaching and not playing as much F, I'd love to give this baby a proper home! My 4/4 Besson 995 serves me rather well the vast majority of the time these days.

This horn is a really great example of a true German F tuba but it also has what many don't and that is an above average low register. Nothing super special, but definitely better than a lot of them I've played. The detail tends to make or break it for people on these, so I figured I'd include my opinion on it.

The middle and upper register slot very nicely throughout. Intonation is spot on with the usual few tendencies (all valves down gives a rock solid in tune low F easily sustained at soft volumes, its my favorite hack on this horn). Charles Villarrubia loved playing this horn in the (unfortunate few) lessons I had with him in person at UT. He especially remarked on the ease with which you could play in the upper register.
