I purchased this Yamaha copy out of sheer curiosity. Replaced the felts for better valve function, and enjoyed it so much I got a gig bag to make family vacations easier. This kept me in shape through many, many pandemic afternoons at home with my little kids, along with several non-work trips.
I found this to be a much less frustrating practice alternative to my earlier Schiller travel tuba, and I think under the right, casual performance environment I would have no problem playing it on a gig.
