These are fine instruments and deserve new homes and players.

*York is ON HOLD*
The first is the Factory York CC used to model the B&S GR41.
Details here:

*Fafner is semi-on-hold: send inquiries still and I'll chase other parties*
Next is a Melton (Europe's name for Meinl Weston) 195 Fafner.
This is a FANTASTIC 5 valve Bb tuba.
Dependent 5th valve in 4th valve slide - all valves on Right Hand.
Valves 1 to 4 vented.
Leadpipe off the Bell.
Response, Pitch and Sound are all really 1st rate.
Melton Gig Bag.
Two Main Slides: stock and slightly shorter one (unused).
Immaculate condition.
Top to Bottom, this horn just plays.
Selected from Germany.
$6,500
(WWBW Price is $6,800 for a 4 valve with no case, Baltimore is $7,000)

Also available is a 1912 Holton Rusk-Cut 6/4 CC in Satin Silver.
Usual Rusk leadpipe 5th valve.
Bell and bows probably York-made. This is a light, responsive BAT.
22" Bell has a couple of small patches (which are plated; you don't notice them).
This horn resonates like crazy - the sound is incredible.
Bottom line G is lippable into tune but prefers to be played 1&3.
Other than that the intonation is spot-on.
Super Tuba in Orchestra.
If you're interested in a horn like this, we'll talk...

Nearly new Gronitz PF125 in Lacquer.
This is a brilliant F Tuba with a distictive, colourful sound (has Pokorny just got one??).
Great intonation - I don't pull ANY slides.
Talk to me if you're looking for one of these - this is a good one!

Why am I selling all these instruments!?
I need the money basically. I'm just getting a Bass Trombone and am trying playing my Besson Eb for everything for a time (yes, we Brits are peculiar...).
Thanks for looking.

Peach,

If I wasn't getting married soon I'd be seriously interested in the Fafner. Typically bad timing for me!

Hope you're well,

Andy

Try adding it to your Wedding list! :D

I'm good thanks.
Congrats on the Wedding; seems a lot of people are tying the knot recently.

All best.

OK, the York is on hold.

I'm waiting to hear back from someone about the Fafner but do send enquiries and I'll keep folks updated.

The big Holton is still around and still a great horn. Needs a good home before I end up auctioning it to raise cash...

Equally, the Gronitz F is still waiting for a new owner who'll play it more than me. This horn is like-new and consequently I'm not giving it away price-wise. However if you're in the market for a new one of these - buy mine! These are superb F tubas and this IS a good one.

For some horns I might be willing to discuss prices a little if you know what I mean.

Get in touch...
