Hello all!

I am looking to sell my 2155 and Gard leather gig bag for $8500 or trade for an Eastman 836. This horn is raw brass and has a great dark sound with a fantastic low register. This horn has had quite a few modifications from the previous owner so I will list them down below. The horn is located in Pullman, Washington and I'm willing to drive a bit to meet a buyer. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions! Joshua.t.thomson@gmail.com

The horn was fitted with a modular lead pipe and was raised from the bell. There is an additional 45-SLP lead pipe included, I chose to have the original soldered on to eliminate wiggling since the 45-slp lead pipe has a different receiver and didn't work with my mouthpieces. It cost me $35 dollars to have soldered on and it should be easy to remove and return to modular if you wanted to change it. The 45-slp lead pipe made the horn even more responsive and aggressive but sacrificed some of the dark sound.

The thumb ring and thumb paddle were removed and an extended paddle has been attached. I personally like this as it more comfortable than other CC tubas I've played.

There are Mead springs in the horn and the valves are vented and fitted with PVAK. Top 1,3, and 4 slides move smoothly but will not fall out when horn is placed on the bell. Intonation on this horn is great with slide pulling in the lower register.

The horn came with Wessex large valve buttons. I replaced these as it did not promote great hand posture for me (I have small hands). The original stems were tapped to accommodate the larger Wessex button so I was not able to put back on the included original buttons. (which will all be included) I had custom valve buttons made by Martin A Wilk that compliment the rest of the horn. Martin included titanium valve stems and the valves are now snappy and fast.

The horn is older with some dings but nothing too large. The fourth slide brace was pushed in at some point and my tech felt it would do more harm to try to remove it.

I will include all spare parts, lead pipe, valve stems, and original and Wessex buttons with the horn and gig bag.

Thats everything I can think of! Please reach out if you have any questions! joshua.t.thomson@gmail.com

I've played this horn a few times and it is a beast! The low range is no joke and it has such a great sound!
