Forced retirement; Time to thin the herd.

McMartin 6/4, 4-valve front action, bell up tuba. She started her life as a 3-valve bell front tuba; after some minor adjustment she grew into a 4-valve BBb bell up front action sporting a Meinl Weston 2165 bell up. The horn plays well and has a solid warm sound. The assembly work was completed by Martin Wilks'. The finish is a lacquered brushed brass. This horn comes with a Cronkite gig bag in great condition. The horn ships from Fargo, ND 58102 at buyers' expense. I'm asking $5,000 ($7,500).

Just out of curiosity, what did the valve cluster come from?

The valve cluster is from a Conn .734 bore; I suspect a donor 40K Sousaphone. The original Martin valve set was a .710 bore, so I feel this is a better fit for a 6/4 tuba.
