Hi Tubenet,
I'm selling my 4V Rotary BBb B&S GR-51, it's a very cool horn that plays really well but since I'm no longer planning on going for performance I don't need two contrabass horns. The GR-51 is a Bavarian style tuba and has a fantastic German sound, I love the deep round sound I get with it. In size and shape it's similar to the MW Thor but has a larger bell. In the photos included there is a side by side with a MW Thor (17.5 bell) and a PT-10P. The GR-51 is the horn that Allesandro Fossi is currently playing on, I included a video of myself playing on the horn in the drive but I suggest checking out his instagram videos of him playing on it for a more accurate representation of what the horn can do.
Asking $4,800 OBO, the horn is located in Pittsburgh, PA and I am willing to drive up to 4 hours to deliver the horn as well. I'd consider the condition to be a 8.5/10 with a few small dings, a nickel size dent on the side, and a 1 inch very slight crinkle in the bell that could all be taken out by a repair man. The horn was last chem cleaned in April. I've tried to accurately represent the imperfections in the photos. Below are some specs taken from the website. Comes with a Melton black Gig Bag also in great condition.
Key : Bb
Series : Perantucci
Bore : .748" / 19 mm
Bell : 17.7"/ 450 mm
Valves : 4 rotary valves
Features : 3B™ linkage system
