Hi Folks,
Looking to sell my Hirsbrunner HB-50. I purchased this instrument in 2014 from Bob Tucci when I was getting my undergrad at IU, and have been the only owner since then. I just can't justify keeping it anymore as I don't play it enough, and would rather it go to someone that's actually going to use it than have it collect dust here.
I got the chance to play a lot of different instruments during my undergrad, and I was never able to find one that I enjoyed as much as this one. It's a fantastic horn, plays well throughout all registers, and has an amazing dark/powerful sound. Great for all applications from a full orchestral setting all the way down to small groups.
Overall the instrument is in great condition, it has a couple of small dents/dings, but nothing that affects the sound.

Asking price is $11500 or Best Offer, and includes the following:
-Meili Hard case with wheels/interior straps
-Perantucci Supersack Gig-Bag
-Schlipf "Vienna" Straight Mute
The instrument is currently located in Detroit, MI. Now willing to ship, but buyer pays the cost. Am also willing to travel a reasonable distance for anyone seriously interested.

At the time we serviced the instrument and had the aluminum custom-fitted flight case, bag and mute made up to fit. This is a first-rate combination of unique equipment, an instrument with unique sound, good intonation and response. The price for the combination is quite reasonable as handmade instruments are now very expensive.
