I am listing for sale a Rudolf Meinl F tuba, 5 valve. The instrument is not a typical older Rudy, but was made for Warren Deck with custom tweaks. From Mr. Deck, it passed to Jeff Funderburk at UNI who I bought it from. It is a raw brass instrument with a left hand 5th valve that has a secondary slide so that it can function as either a flat whole step or a flat step and a half. It also has beefed up linkage on the valves and braces, and has been cared for by Lee Stouffer of Lee Stouffer Music for many years. I think there were some other modifications internally but I don't know. It has a huge voice and everyone that has played it loves the sound. I am retired and just won't be using it anymore.

I have a Rudolf Meinl RM 9 mouthpiece to go with it, but currently no gig bag. I realllllly don't want to ship the instrument if I can avoid it. It is located in Clinton, IA and I would be happy to drive to meet someone a reasonable distance. Listing for $5500 but I'm open to offers.

I'm in Glenwood IA. Thinking about getting an F tuba as a secondary horn (mostly for fun). This one looks interesting especially for quintet. How are the valves? I could drive to DesMoines or Clinton I guess. Would like to pay less of course. $4800?

This is a total longshot, but would this possibly be still available?
