For sale: B&S 3100WG JBL Classic. This horn was purchased new in 2021 and is an outstanding instrument and I have no complaints with it. It makes a wonderful sound and is very easy to play. This tuba has served me well in auditions, solo work, orchestra, and brass quintet. There are a few minor dings as pictured that could all easily be rolled out. There are a few modifications that have been done to the horn by Alan Baer that could be returned to stock if requested. These modifications include: vented valves, a lengthened main tuning slide to better accommodate playing at A=440, and a receiver adjustment to American shank so that typical F tuba mouthpieces have a proper mouthpiece gap. These modifications all have made the tuba play better and easier. Also included is an additional short main tuning slide.
I have no complaints with this horn, I am just looking to go in a slightly different direction. The only horn I am willing to trade for is a Meinl Weston Kodiak. I am located in New Brunswick, NJ, but will also be in Houston, Tx and driving to Champaign, Il during December.
