Rudy Meinl 3/4 CC F/S $7,750

This Rudy Meinl 3/4 CC came into my possession after getting a full extensive reworking by Lee Stofer in December 2021

Although it is the “3/4 size” its quite sizable as all Rudy’s are. It has that beautiful Rudy characteristic sound.

All valves are smooth as butter and the slides all are good to pull on the fly. Lee did a beautiful job.

It’s a very easy horn to play, very responsive with a lovely sound, zero problems in the lower register. I’ve played everything from chamber music, orchestral works and solo pieces with her. I can throw in an Altieri case in the purchase.

About 10 years ago, the previous owner of this tuba let me borrow it for the summer. This was long before Lee worked on it...

This tuba had all of the "magic" that people associate with the Rudy 3/4 CC, and then some. It was a fantastic tuba then, and I'm sure it's even better now after Lee's work.

Easily a top-3 tuba of all time for me. Perhaps even top-1.

* Incredible response (nearly plays itself)
* Beautiful sound at any volume
* Great projection and a LOT of output (you push harder, it gives you more...)
* ^That is, unlike a Miraphone 186 (which I also like) that can get kind of barky or sound like it's being pushed too hard, this has a higher output potential, and gives you "more"

Oh, I wish I had the money for it, it's a fantastic tuba.
