FS: 4/4 CC YORK $8,200

Post by dwcramer2 »

For sale is a 1918 4/4 5-valve CC York raw brass tuba that was converted from BBb by Dillon’s in the early 1990s. I purchased it in 2017 from a NYC musician who was using it for Radio City and similar gigs. The only further modification I’ve made is a floating lead pipe, which I believe has improved the resonance of the horn. It takes a european shank mouthpiece. It will come with a black leather Cronkhite gig bag. I’m using it in this recording by the Philadelphia Wind Symphony: https://youtu.be/ZrASjLA6JSE?si=ZQAwAXsN2ZwlkaBA.

I live in the Harrisburg, PA area, and am not looking to ship the horn, but you are welcome to come play test it. I am also planning to be at the Army Band Conference on Friday, February 2nd, and can bring it along. I am not looking for trades at this time.

The picture files were too big to attach, but you can access them at this dropbox link: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/729fdk7y ... b0mv8&dl=0

Please feel free to send me a direct message (dwcramer2@aol.com) with any questions.
