MW 2155, MAW valves, and a GW Titanium Bayamo, oh my! - SOLD!

For sale is a Meinl Weston 2155, 5/4 size CC tuba. It has a few dings and dents and some wear spots in the usual places. But it is also a versatile horn, capable of quintet, large ensemble and solo work. One modification that was made before I acquired the horn is that the lead pipe was extended by a few millimeters. It doesn’t affect the intonation measurably, but you can see where the work was done. The horn includes the factory made valves, a set of lightweight, textured valve caps, and a Mirafone gig bag that is in good condition, and snugly fits the horn.
Also available are a complete set of MAW valves that fit perfectly into the horn. The difference between the factory valves and the MAW’s is incredible - they truly open up the sound of the horn, and I think they help center the tone very easily.
Lastly, I have a factory new condition Giddings and Webster Titanium Bayamo mouthpiece. No insertion marks or anything - it’s made of titanium! If you have ever experienced the ease of playing on stainless steel, titanium is so much easier to play everything from the quietest Mahler 1 to Valkyrie-level bombast with ease!
Prices: MW 2155 5/4 CC - $7200
MAW valves - $1000
GW Titanium Bayamo - $500
$8200 takes it all, or feel free to make an offer on any of the parts. I can also be reached at gkurtis [at] comcast [dot] net.
The equipment is located in Northern Indiana, and will ship at the buyer’s expense. I am selling this horn because I have upgraded to larger equipment and have a second titanium Bayamo mouthpiece. Happy shopping!
