attn doublers: Elkhart Conn 73H dependent bass trombone, $1,100

Post by arpthark »

This is a late Elkhart-era Conn 73H dependent valve bass trombone with both E and D slides. D slide was aftermarket and didn't quite fit, so there is evidence of work on it to align the slide tubes. Horn sounds great. Slide action I would currently rate at an 8.

This trombone was rescued from a school band program and was in bad shape -- main bell brace was broken, dents, linkage all messed up, etc. All work has been done by myself apprenticing with Dick Hansen out of Brimfield, MA and some minor adjustments by Carl Chudy out of Mystic, CT. Cosmetically, it isn't perfect, but the slide plating is 100%, the valves have no wear and plenty of pop when slides are pulled.

Comes with a big Olds case. I have a box to ship it in, but it may be a little expensive. Continental US shipping only, please, or pick up in our around Connecticut. $1,100 plus shipping.

Please PM me or email beanhillbrass at gmail.

Thanks!

Blake
