Wisemann DTU-111

Post by ScottTuba1973 »

I'm selling this 4-rotor valve, BBb, Wisemann DTU-111 (serial number not located) tuba to help support my family as we are currently in financial hardship. I filed for disability three years ago and they still have not approved my case.
It is in beautiful condition, with only normal wear and tear. I have had it for 15 years, and I bought it used. The prior owner had it for college and sold it after graduation to get a different horn.
All rotors are smooth and quiet. All valves and slides work with good compression.
I also have several mouthpieces to choose from. I am happy to throw one in for free.
I can send more pictures, including wear on the pads and top tube from normal use. I also have photos of the dents and dings. It does have one large dent directly outside of the 4th rotor, the very edge of which can be seen in the "Tuba Front" photo. It is about 4" tall by 2" wide by 1/2" deep. It is right at the end of the extra support strap at the bottom of the main tube and the local repair shop told me that it would not be worth straightening because it has no effect.
This tuba also comes in an SKB locking hard case with two keys.
I need around the $2500 mark to recover our immediate needs. If this is an outrageous mark, please inform me constructively and not sarcastically.
Thank you for your time and assistance with this post.
Of course, the buyer pays shipping, if it is necessary. The horn is located in Park City, KS 67219.
