FS: Eastman 836S CC/Göetz bag $8500

Post by KyleRichter »

Selling my Eastman 836 and custom fitted Göetz bag (supersac) with the extra padding option in burgundy red.

Bought new in 2018, it’s been well cared for and has no major dings or dents. One spot of silver has rubbed off on the bottom bow from using my tuba stand.

These tubas are very easy to play, very consistent pitch, and a warm large sound that makes it very fun to play in any big hall with ease. I’ve used it many times with the SoCal Brass Consortium, so there are plenty of videos and recordings I could send your way to get an idea of how it balances a large brass ensemble, and even easier in an orchestral setting.

The bag is the same brand that comes with Meinl Weston horns, but ordered through Bob Tucci to get the custom color, fit, and add the thicker padding option for better protection. It sits very comfortably on my back and it’s my favorite gig bag all around I’ve ever had.

Asking $8500 for the tuba and bag, located in Garden Grove, CA (near Disneyland) in the LA area. Would prefer pickup, but could drive a good distance to meet a buyer.
