SOLD John Packer JP379FF Sterling F Tuba - $4,000

Cross posted on Facebook. Photos are too large to upload here.

John Packer 5-Valve Sterling F Tuba in incredible shape. I am the second owner and bought the tuba in New York back in September of 2022. The previous owner had the valves vented, a valve alignment, and a receiver adjustment done by Alan Baer. I have taken immaculate care of this horn since owning it and treated it with the type of respect it deserves.

It served me through my Masters degree where I played it as a solo instrument, brass quintet, tuba ensemble, and full piece symphony orchestra. It is an extremely versatile horn that can be played in any size ensemble. You will be hard pressed to find a better performing F tuba on a budget. Intonation is beautiful. It handles both the high and low register extremes effortlessly. I have absolutely no issues or regrets with this horn.

Reason for selling is that I am saving up for a down payment on a house. I am now a full time teacher and do not play as often as I did a couple of years ago. I already have a CC tuba and at this time do not also need an F tuba.

Horn is located in Kansas City, Missouri. I am willing to travel up to 4 hours any direction to meet anyone that is seriously interested. Buyer pays shipping, though I don’t recommend it. I’ve always found flying out to be cheaper.

Please message me with any questions you may have. I have video of me playing the horn if you want to hear how it sounds.
