For sale is my Adams 6/4 CC tuba that I purchased in May of 2023. This is an earlier copy made by Adams, and it truly is every bit of the wonderful sound from the best Yorkbrunners but way easier to play. The bottom bow did take some damage during its time with the first owner, but most of that has been fixed. While the bottom bow does not look as new as it once did, I have played it side by side with the newest batch from Adams and there is no noticeable playing difference. The only reason I am selling this horn is to downsize to an instrument that fits the makeup of the band I currently play with a little better. If money were no problem, this tuba would never leave my stable!
Modifications made to the horn:
*MTS waterkey removed
*Valves 1,3,4 have been vented
*Rings added to slides 1 & 4 to aid in easy pulling without left hand repositioning
I have loved using this horn in everything from larger orchestras and wind bands to chamber groups. It is a wonderfully flexible and nimble instrument for the size and has held up to everything I have thrown at it. Instrument comes with a gig bag from Adams.
Asking price for this instrument is $16,000. I am accepting offers, but would like to limit trades to rotor PT6's at this time.
