Selling this Mirafone Cimbasso in F. Really neat instrument that I bought from Lyric Opera of Chicago in 2023. I'll post a link to photos below.
The horn plays surprisingly well, in tune, and definitely blends well with a trombone section. All valves and slides work well but the horn could probably use some servicing. Feels like a good hybrid in between a modern cimbasso and a contrabass trombone. The shank is very small but the horn comes with a Mirafone mouthpiece that fits and works great. It's a lot of fun to play, but I simply am not using it for anything and can't justify keeping it right now.
Price is $2500 firm. Due to the case being in poor condition, I would be extremely hesitant to ship, but I am willing to drive a reasonable distance for a serious buyer (located in Eastern Connecticut). Feel free to reach out with any questions about the horn!
