Miraphone F381 Bel Canto Solo - $12,500

I'm listing for sale my 5+1 Miraphone Bel Canto Solo F tuba. I bought this new from Baltimore Brass in 2019 so I've been its only owner. It's a full gold brass instrument which gives it an incredibly special, warm sound that is hard to find on most instruments. I've played this horn in chamber groups, orchestras, solo engagements, and had success in multiple auditions with it so it's very versatile. It has typical Miraphone F intonation tendencies but overall plays very evenly and has a great low register for a rotor F. I absolutely love the sound and color you get out of this horn and it plays very smoothly. I really don’t want to sell it, but can’t afford to keep two F tubas.
The horn is in great shape outside of some normal wear and a few smaller dings. There is one dent in the bottom bow that is difficult to remove due to it’s location, but I just had the horn in the shop to remove any other dents and it’s been fully cleaned and serviced, ready for a new owner. It's also got a ring attached on the back bottom bow for the Lois Paunger tuba belt system.
I’m asking $12,500, which includes a Miraphone gig bag and hard case. I’m located in Connecticut and willing to drive a reasonable distance for play testing or a sale. Open to reasonable offers!
