I have some students that are currently looking for tubas. This looks to be a nice one, although 11 grand is a bit steep for a used HB. Baltimore Brass is sending used HB's out for 9,000. Let me know if you consider dropping the price.

Here. Here. It's quite frustrating to see replies from those haggling or questioning price in a public forum. ESPECIALLY when it's by people who have no sincere interest. It deters people away from a possible interest/purchase and cause sellers to not list prices. Here's a thought.... there are several levels of condition and playing characteristics when it comes to tubas and mouthpieces. Maybe a seller is asking a little more because he bought a good representation of the model (good sound, good pitch, even response) and its in very good condition making it closer in value to a new model. Maybe a seller is asking less because he either he got a bad representation (bad pitch, bad sound, or uneven response) OR he needs to sell it by yesterday and doesn't have the time to be patient for better money. Anyone who has played two of the same model knows that maunfacturers rarely if ever make two horns exactly alike. If you're only looking to pick up a tuba or mouthpiece at a super low price not caring anything about playability, then I suggest you stick to low bidding on the auction site.
