If anybody wants to buy any of these instead of trade:

$70 for the PT-88 or PT-50

$60 for the PT-65

$45 for either the Marcinkiewicz N3 or Tommy Johnson N4

Could you describe the N4 ? Bigger than N3 ? Is it well-suited as a solo mouthpiece?

I've been using a PT88 on my horns and love the feel of the rim. How does the N4 compare in terms of sound and feel ?

Thanks in advance!

The Marc. N4 is shallower than an N3. With Marcinkiewicz, a smaller number = bigger mouthpiece.

The Marc has similar rim inner dimensions to a PT-88 but a much shallower cup. The N3 is deeper than the N4 but still quite shallow compared to the PT-88. I think that either would make a good "solo" mouthpiece for somebody that likes wide inner dimensions.

Dimensions can be found at
http://www.marcinkiewicz.com/mouthpiece ... andard.htm

I'll compare the rims of the PT-88 and Marcs later this evening when I have both of them in front of me.

The rims on the Marcs are slightly wider than the rim on the PT-88.
The inside of the rim feels pretty close to me.

I might have a Self replica available if my student passes on it.

Ike, that'd be neat if it becomes available and is in excellent condition.

Here's what I have:
================
--A new PT-65 unused and still in the plastic wrap
--Marcinkiewicz N3 -- insertion marks, never used regularly
--Marcinkiewicz N4 "Tommy Johnson" -- insertion marks, never used regularly

I'd like to trade for (most desired to least desired):
====================
PT-80 / Tilz M17 / Rudi RM17
Dillon G5 (standard "American" shank)
Dillon G3 (standard "American" shank)
PT-20
Yamaha Jim Self replica
PT-90
PT-30
PT-32
