Mammoth Martin 4 valve sousaphone with 30" bell

My friend is selling his Mammoth Martin 4 valve sousaphone with its giant 30" bell. It is silverplated and playable as is, but needs work to be an aesthetically-pleasing showpiece. No case or mouthpiece (although I'm sure he could come up with a mouthpiece if you need one). He is looking to get around $2500 but is open to offers.
He's threatening to sell it to the Tuba Exchange if he can't sell it soon...so let's get this in the hands of someone who'll play it and appreciate it, and let's prevent it from languishing in a collection, never to be played again!! My friend experienced some devastation in his home town in Louisiana, and so if you buy this you'll be helping out a Katrina victim. Any interested parties can either e-mail me or PM me.
