I don't know you, but I certainly endorse everything you say about the Jupiter 482 tuba. It is a terrific horn for an instrument in its price range. I count my 482 as one of the favorites in my collection.

i must confess,this ain't a bad horn(the model,not this particular horn).there was one at Alabama all state last spring and i plugged my pt50 in with very low expectations. the little horn really rocked! i almost bought it as my dixie/quintet horn.i wasn't in love with the sound but the playability was definitely there.worth a look,especially in this price range...
