Well, as a response about which horn to upgrade to, I'd say take the Meinl Weston 2000 if you've got the money for it. Granted the price for the MW2000 is nearly twice that of the Conn 54J, I feel it is a more 'all-around' horn than the 54J is. I also believe it's one of the better CCs on the market. If the Conn works for you better, by all means go for it, you'll save money, but if it were me, there'd be no question.
