Looking for old style Conn Sousa mouthpiece bit

Post by Bandmaster »

I'm looking to buy an old style Conn Sousaphone mouthpice bit. If anyone has one laying around I would be VERY interested. A while back I bought a 1927 Conn 38K sousphone that is in great condition, except it was missing one mouthpiece bit. The new ones would work, but they don't look exactly the same. I would like to make it look original. The older one have a smooth contour to the flange and the new ones have a sharp angle on it. See photo comparison below. The old style is on top, note the smooth rounded end where the mouthpiece goes in.

Please PM me if you have one laying around that you would be willing to part with. Thanks.
