FC Helleberg w/ gold rim $100 + ship

I am selling a Floyd O. Cooley Helleberg mouthpiece with a "Goldchops" goldplated rim. Overall condition of the mouthpiece is very good (9 to 9.5 out of 10), with one tiny nick you will not feel in the rim. The goldplating is slightly worn in two spots if you hold it under the light but the rim still has that slippery gold feel to it.
The FC Helleberg is a much improved Helleberg 7B that blows more open and had better intonation tendencies but still has that 7B sound, just with a better low register. This is a great mouthpiece that can tame a very big tuba, giving the sound clarity and focus - Floyd designed it for his 6/4 Nirschl. I used it on a 6/4 Martin I no longer have and it worked great on that horn. It has also been popular as an F tuba mothpiece when a larger sound is desired, and I have been using it on my Cerveny 6 valve F.
The only reason I am selling is because all my other pieces have very rounded rims and I would rather not switch back and forth between them and this flatter rim. Although the FC Helleberg does have a flatter helleberg style rim, it is not one of those "old school" razor sharp original rims but a slightly more comfortable flat rim that Floyd could comfortably play on all day long.
$100.00 plus $5.00 shipping to continental United States (only.)
The pieces are often hard to come by new and sell for $160.00 in silver. More info about it can be found at:
