King upright removeable bell FS

Post by Sam Gnagey »

I have two of these in lacquer finish. One is nearly perfect with only a little lacquer scaring from some dent removal. The other is dent free but shows more signs of dent removal work and lacquer wear. Open to reasonable offers. Each comes with a hard case.

A Pair Of Kings

Post by Gongadin »

Hi, Sam;

What vintage are these bells?
What are the dimensions
Any pictures to post of engraving, if they are older vintage?

Thanks!
=Steve, who realizes these are just bells now. Not tubas with removable bells. :oops:

What is the diameter of the colalr on these? Are these from the smaller King 12/2340 series? I was thinking of getting an upright bell for my Bill Bell model, but I think that the collar is larger than on these other Kings.

what is the diameter of the bell? I have the huge 22" bell and may be interested in a smaller one.

These are newer ones from the 1980s-90s. 20" bell diameter, 6.25" collar. The engraving is a simple shield with the company name etc. inside it. One has the orginal lacquer the other looks like it's been relacquered.

I didn't bother to measure the lesser of the two. Just did. It's 21.5" diameter. The nicer one is 20".
