Does anyone have a Warburton Arnold Jacobs mouthpiece they are willing to sell me? I am looking for the regular American shank.

I don't want to get in the way of a deal, but if the deal doesn't work, Kelly has two "Jacobs" models, and Terry Warburton may be back up to speed with all of his mouthpieces, not just the upper to mid brass he had to get up and running first after the fire. It never hurts to email and ask. I know one of the advantages to Terry's mouthpieces is the backbore is better, so I better shut up now.

I have emailed Terry Warburton about this mouthpiece and have yet to receive a reply. Maybe I will try again soon.

Neither was the Warburton Arnold Jacobs mouthpiece, or countless other AJ variants. The Arnold Jacobs mouthpiece is itself a variant on a Helleberg design. I doubt August Helleberg ever saw Jacobs' mouthpiece. Seriously, why make a big deal out of this?

That's why I put the word "Jacobs" in quotes!

I got the official word back from Ken at Warburton Mouthpieces. They do not have a machine big enough to make tuba mouthpieces yet, and won't for a few more months. So, I am out of luck there. SO.....

LAST CALL FOR ANYONE TO SELL ME THEIR WARBURTON ARNOLD JACOBS MOUTHPIECE

please!:D

...and then I will just buy the closest thing, the Canadian Brass Arnold Jacobs mouthpiece that Kelly sells.

This is a message to anyone who has sent me a pm or email about this mouthpiece, and anyone who is interested to read:

I have been waiting to get back to you until I heard back from Warburton about a question I had about the weight of the mouthpiece.

Warburton makes mouthpieces in standard, medium, and heavy weight. I have been able to compare two Canadian Brass AJ models (which are identical to the Warburton except for the rim) of different weights side by side, and found that the slightly heavier weight had noticeably better response in the low range.

The Warburton mouthpiece I am borrowing from a friend has the same shape and weight as the heavier CB mouthpiece, and is marked with one asterisk. My question was to confirm my assumption that the asterisk shows the medium weight mouthpiece, as opposed to the standard weight.

I will try to post pictures that show the shapes of the different weight mouthpieces.

I am being so specific because I have had the opportunity to carefully compare these minor differences side by side so I know exactly what I want.
