My band director had the idea to get some woodwind players to play Tuba, but the Eb Sousa is what he wants them to use, because I have one and keep bugging him to let me play it in my school's marching band. So any links or products you may be selling, PM me about it. Any manufacturer is fine, I just need it $500 or below. Up to $1000 might be pushing the price for me.

Keep an eye out on Ebay. $500 will buy you a fairly nice Eb sousa. They aren't very popular these days. Make sure you get the neck and bits or that will set you back another $100.

Older Conn BBb 14k's also have the 24 inch bell, and with their smaller throat as well as their smaller diameter bell than their more famous kin, they are also easier to carry, if you just cannot find an Eb. The Eb is also good for trumpet players who switch, because you can "pretend" the music is in treble clef and use the same fingerings for the notes in the same relative position on the staff. Be careful of accidentals, though, because there is a good reason they are called accidentals!

Make sure the first people he drafts to play are the buffoon, er, bassoon players, followed up by the baboon, er persons of greater physical stature that can definitely carry one!

BTW: looking at your signature,it's been years since I played dungeons and dragons. In undergrad, one of our dungeon masters made an elaborate screen for himself with the obligatory decorated lettering on the front as Grand Overall Director.
