I'm selling my son's 582 in order to buy him a CC. The tuba was originally Jason Whitacker's. I bought it from him about 4 years ago for my son. The horn has some lacquer wear and minor dents, but it plays very well and my son made All-State on it. He was also accepted to all of the colleges he auditioned at using the 582. It comes with the hard case and a Pro-Tec gig bag. I'm asking $2300.00 for it. I can't post pics because I'm a computer illiterate. However, I can email pics to any interested people. Feel free to contact me at

Yesterday (2,3,4,1). Dillon Music seemed so far away. But, my son and I made the trip. It's always exciting to go to Dillon's - Toys R Us for brass instruments!!! With help from Matt and Jay, we came away with a 56J. So, it's a good time to sell the Jupiter 582. The $2300.00 - fuggeddaboddit! Make me an offer I can't refuse!! I can't post pics because I don't know how to! I'll send pics to anyone who emails me. Thanks!

I sold the tuba today. Thank you all for the inquiries. I do know of another used 582 for anyone interested. A former student is selling his 582, that is only a few years old and with less lacquer wear than my son's. They were asking $2000. for the tuba, with hard case and bag. Let me know and I can put you in touch with him here on Long Island.
