Matched sets pop up on "that" auction site every now and again, it wouldn't hurt to look. My guess is that marching bands decide to go with corps-style contras that they can covert to uprights, and look to offset the cost when they figure they really have been replaced...

UUUUUGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!Dang I hate convertables. I like REAL contras better than Sousa's for marching band, and Sousa's more than convertibles. I'm sorry...Convertables are PIECES OF CRAP!!!!!!! But I need to get off my soapbox.
But, yeah, check eBay...

Hey, tubaguy9 - I resemble that remark! If you're not marching with a pre-Cyborg King or a pre-MacMillan Conn, you're not marching at all!
OK, if the Reynolds or Olds hasn't just been beat to a pulp I guess it would do, since Reynolds used to work for King, and before that York.
I just couldn't stand to see a Martin subjected to the abuse, as they're so rare now.
BTW: Why hasn't Zig Kanstul added a souzy to his line?
