PT4 for sale

Post by jbigham98 »

I have an old style B&S PT 4 for sale. It has a .748" to .825" bore, a 19" bell and is 41" tall. It has 5 rotor valves, and the extension slide for the 5th valve is included. It has minor lacquer wear, and a few small dings. It’s nothing more than expected from 20+ years of use. Also, on the back part of the bugle it looks like a dent was rolled out before I purchased it. The valve linkages seemed to have been replaced before I purchased it, and they can’t be more than 6 years old. As far as it plays, its a big 4/4. It looks more like a pt6 than the new pt4, but the bugle is wrapped tighter and the bows are not quite as large. It’s a large 4/4, and it plays like a very large 4/4. Tuning characteristics are that the open G is a little loose (can be flat or sharp, depends on the player), and the Ab at the top of the staff is more in tune played first valve. Due to poor location, I had the spit valve removed. I’m asking $3800, and price is negotiable. Included is a Tuxedo gig bag. The horn is located in San Marcos, TX. Please contact me at jbigham98@hotmail.com for further information.
