For Sale Buescher True Tone Eb Silver with Gold Wash Bell

Post by pianolance »

I have a very nice Buescher True Tone Eb Tuba in excellent condition. It is circa 1927 (I think). Three valves. There are a couple of very minor dings but virtually no dents. It has the original True Tone mouthpiece. This tuba has a wonderful tone. The finish is a beautiful satin silver with bright silver trim and a gold wash on the inside of the bell. I played in a community band this last summer and the other tuba players there were quite taken with the beauty of this instrument. It has True Tone L.P. stamped on the second valve casing with the triangular "True Tone" logo. The valves could use some new felts and maybe it could use a relapping, but the instrument playes great as is. This is a rare find and an instrument of this type comes up on Ebay very rarely. Some of the slides are stuck but the horn is really in remarkable shape for its age. I would like to get $950 for it. Some may think that is a bit high but seeing the build quality and condition of this horn will make a believer out of you. Email me for some pictures of the horn. Buescher made a wonderful tuba back in the day.

I will post some pictures by tomorrow of the horn. There seems to be a good bit of interest.
