I have an early vintage small silver Conn 4 piston CC tuba available for sale. The serial number (#184057) dates it to 1921-one year away from Harvey's horn--however, this horn has a silver 17" Martin bell on it from the same era. I do not know what happened to the original Conn bell. Horn is approx. 32" tall. It is approx. .656 bore, the 4 pistons have been replated/refit at Anderson's-they're like new, 1st valve vented, & amado water keys put on. Horn has no major dents-a few 'pings,' and the old silver plating is in excellent condition.
The horn comes with a modified Yamaha plastic hard case with wheels and a Reunion Blues gig bag!!

As you can see, it is a small horn--it plays a bit too small for me.

Yes, this 4v CC Conn is one (c. 1921) year away from Harvey's (c. 1920) 4v CC Conn--and I believe the 2J/3J Conns were designed to be similar to his horn. Hope that helps.

Yipes, Mark! We lost the photos, could you work some magic and bring them back.
All this discussion about the similarity between this horn and the 2J made me curious to compare them visually.
While the 2J is a great horn in its own right, it is not a true copy of Harvey's horn. I would like to see posts from people who have played Harvey's horn and 2-3J's. Maybe in another post, Mark would like to find a trade for the horn here.
