Not only the bell but also the leadpipe is different.
The 2155 is a fine tuba but I am looking for something bigger than the 2155.

Hi-
You might want to take a look in this forum of the CC Conn Donatelli tuba I have for sale--you won't find a better horn for the money. The two types of horns you are looking for aren't even in the same league as this horn (no hype--just the truth).
UPDATE: Donatelli is no longer available.

Regards-

Hello mark, thank you very much for the offer but I am searching for somthing bigger than that. However, the Conn looks beautiful and nice engraving too. good luck selling it!

The Donatelli that Mark mentioned is equivalent in size and performance to the Miraphone 1291 or the Nirschl 4/4. It's no small horn.

First off, I would like to say thank you to those whos helping me out here. I am having great time just talking to you all and you all are being very helpful!

After talking to other people, I just realized that I forgot to mention something.

I already own a 6/4 tuba and am looking for a smaller but not too small enough to lose some characteristics of the full orchestral tuba sound.

The reason why I am looking for an 5/4 tuba is that I noticed that poeple are winning a job with 5/4 tubas (and rarely on 6/4, but that Nirshl 6/4$$$), so I am looking for a strong auditioning tuba.

Therefore, I have tried as many tuba as possible and realized that what I might need is that Wilson 3050s or MW 5/4s. However, I have seen some rare birds out there that I have not tried yet so please keep in touch with me

Again, thank you very much for your cooperation.

I'm sure you've already looked at it, but just in case you haven't. To me, the price is a little high, but good gravy its a beautiful horn.

WOW  That is a beautiful horn but, yes, that is way over my price range...
Also I noticed the valve adjustment on the horn, does any one know how much it would cost to do the valve job?
