The pictures should pretty much speak for themselves...
However, here's some info:
Just like the Imperials from the 60's, 70's only noticeably lighter in weight.
If you look carefully at the pics you'll see the squarer bows & slides than the later Imperials.
Also the main tuning slide has same length (long) legs - the 4th valve sits a fraction higher than later Imperials/Sov's.
Bell is 15".
Small receiver.
Case is wooden from 1970's I think.
It has been overhauled, again in the 70's I think and the valve-tops and caps replaced with 'modern' (originals would've had cork bumpers). Obviously rarely played since the overhaul.
Yes, it's a low pitch conversion but it plays and sounds as good as it looks. Very easy top-to-bottom with excellent intonation.
I don't know what the story is with these. I've only ever seen this one as old as this. Anyone know?
