Moving Sale

Post by Wes Krygsman »

This is the first time posting on Tubenet in a while, and first time selling anything…so please bear with me. I actually moved about a month ago and probably should have sold this stuff then, but I didn’t even find most of it until unpacking. Nothing fits in my room in the new house so it all must go:

Instruments

2 York E-flat Sousaphones, both Grand Rapids, Michigan, with great engravings, NEITHER ARE PLAYABLE as is.
1st one is just a body with a bell(USQMC, United States Quartermaster Corps), no valve section. Silver plate in decent condition, still shiny, and it has a few little dents.

2nd one is very tarnished with a valve section that needs a lot of work. This one is dented up.

You might be able to combine both together to make a playable horn, not sure where to measure to find that out though.
I will include a sousaphone shoulder pad.
Both together for $300(would prefer not to ship these)

Concertone Trumpet w/ case- Silver, Czech trumpet modeled after old Conn long model cornets, huge hole at end of leadpipe, where it meets tuning slide. NOT PLAYABLE as is. $25 plus shipping

notice the third valve slide is on wrong side, and the tuning slide switches sides

Below is a few angles of the hole/splitting of the leadpipe

Estey Chord Organ- the buttons on left play chords while you play melodies on the keyboard on the right. It has an accordion like sound. Fully functional. Plug it in and it works: the volume pedal, along with every chord button and every key but low D on the keyboard. $50 (would prefer not to ship)

Being the first time selling anything big on the internet, I would feel much more comfortable either have the big items picked up, or meeting for a pick up. I’m in Northern NJ (Butler), and go to school at Montclair State University and am willing to drive about 2 hours from either to meet up with someone. There will be more going up if the garage sale doesn’t go well.
