Hi folks.
I'm trying to help a local school find one of those large tuba stands that can hold a large tuba all by itself. If you have one you'd be willing to donate or sell cheaply, please PM me.
(Why do I have a feeling someone is going to post a silly picture of a tuba in a cage. . .)

This would be the "Tuba Tamer" by Wenger. Retail about $500. Watch ebay. They are occaisionally available from $100.

One of the TubeNet sponsors (M & M) sells a play-stand similar to the Wenger 'tuba tamer'. I don't have any experience with it but you might want to check it out.

I have some of those stands. Do you need it for a sousaphone, or a concert up tuba? The ones I have are very solid blonde wood seat and back rest with one inch square support the horn tubeing.
