I've seen the horn up close. No dents. Rotors seem tight. JRT takes good care of his stuff.

JRT (Jack Russell "Terror") is a professional who made his living with this horn until about five years ago. Talking to him, I get the impression that it has taken him this long to convince himself to part with it.
The pictures are the first time I've seen the back side of the horn. I've seen it a few times laying on the gig bag in the tuba lesson room (where I gave a quick test of the feel of the rotors) and when JRT played it. The horn sounds plenty OK to me.
Those shallow "depressions" on the back side could be very easily removed with magnets and a little going over with a rolling pin -- maybe just a little strategic rolling pin action without messing with the magnets. If the horn was B-Flat, I'd be considering it and seeing if I could rationalize some lame excuse for getting it.
I think the horn looks better in real life than in the pictures. The glare of the photo lighting does things.
