Mir 1291 CC for sale

Post by Duane »

I have a Mir 1291 for sale. It is a silver plated horn from Dillon Music. It was recently chem cleaned. It comes with a hard case. It is in very good condition. I can e-mail pictures to anyone that is interested. Asking price is $6500.00 + shipping.

I can’t handle the constantly transition from BBb to CC. I am playing all the marches in brass quintet on CC and then that afternoon playing all the same marches on sousaphone in BBb. In my line of work consistency is a must. I was in concert band rehearsal and was asked to play the memorized Brass Band, we play sousaphone in Brass Band, music on CC. I am not good enough to do it. So, I am going to sell my CC’s and buy a BBb. I am realizing that I am not going to need a CC for the next 20 years.

Shoot! I wish I had the money. That is about $2,400 below the new cost with the case and silver plate. Somebody is going to get a great deal. Good luck.

Thanks, trust me , It took a lot of deliberation to do this. She just plays that well and I don’t want to get rid of her. I have had to make a decision and I think this is the best thing for me to do. Just incase anyone is wondering, Yes, the horn was tweaked by Matt from Dillon.

Holcomb, it's not that hard to swtich from BBb to CC. Wait till you learn EEb and F and then try to play marches.

The funny thing is that I can play F tuba. I think it is easier to go from F to CC than BBb to CC.
