Miraphone 1290 5/4 CC Tuba with 4 piston valves 1 rotor. This is not the newer model but I cannot tell much playing difference between the two. I am simply looking for something bigger. Piston valve, laquered tuba. Has a couple cosmetic dents and laquer is about 90%. This horn was chem-cleaned two months ago and includes a gig bag and hard case. This horn is a 5/4 CC Tuba(19" bell!) with an "extremely" dark sound. E-mail me for more details. jhicks54@hotmail.com

The horn was the prototype for the new model(as stated in my original ad). It has a slightly different wrap but essentially the same tubing as the new model. As far as it being a 5/4 or not, the ads and specs claim it to be a 5/4(check the brasswind site). The horn is less than 10 years old and sold for a little under $6000 brand new. I like this horn but just prefer something a little bigger with rotary valves. This is my opinion and doesn't make the horn any less valuable.

please.....

only post here if you are interested in checking out this horn. No opinions of what would or would not serve me well as a professional musician or whether or not the horn looks strange to you. E-mail me privately if interested. jhicks54@hotmail.com
