Hi everyone,
I’m selling my 982 (Boosey & Hawkes Sovereign Eb tuba).
It is about 20 years old and has a 19-inch bell. The finish is unlacquered and there are a few other modifications. It has a 981 lead pipe, has no carriage rings or lyre holder, and the compensating 3rd valve slide is extended. I have played this horn professionally over the last 5 years with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra. I also used it for a recording session with the Winnipeg Symphony and CBC radio.
I love my horn and it sounds great. There is one dent on the bottom bow that I’ve never had removed. I have pictures available, and feel free to ask any questions about this instrument. I’m asking US$3900 or best offer, includes original case.
Please email me at the university: Chris_Webster@UManitoba.CA
Thanks,
Chris Webster
