This is starting to seem less like selling mouthpieces, and more like taking up a collection while keeping mouthpieces.

I am here to concur. After repeated attempts to get Michael (Blake Oldham, of Amarillo, TX,) to send the Schilke 60 Bass trombone mouthpiece, I have yet to receive it. I have the cashed and paid check, in my hands, so I know Michael has the money and I have yet to see the mouthpiece. I have an e-mail from him acknowledging that he has the check cashed and will send the mouthpiece and I have yet to see the mouthpiece. When I reached him by phone, he told me the package was returned to him and we discovered he has misaddressed the package and would send it that afternoon and I have yet to see the mouthpiece. I would strongly suggested that unless you can drop by his place, in Amarillo, and pick up your goods, that you not buy from him. And, if you do drop by his place and pick something up, see if you can get my mouthpiece and send it to me, will ya'? btw, Michael Blake Oldham, at this point, would seem to be committing the federal crime of mail fraud. What do you think? Worth pursuing along that path?

I just did a search for him on peoplefinders.com. Both of the phone numbers they have for him have been disconnected.

I'd suggest using PayPal to pay people you don't have a trusted relationship with. You can at least dispute the charge with PayPal and if you use a credit card, you can also dispute the transaction with them.

I once bought a MacBook Pro on eBay only to find that it was not in great shape. The guy I bought it from, despite having a return policy accepting returns before a certain time-frame, didn't accept the return. A dispute with PayPal and a claim with my credit card company got all my money back, except for the amount which was already in my PayPal account.

I have now reported him to the Amarillo Police, via e-mail and hope to hear back from them. I know it is minor, to them and it is probably a very low priority thing but it is a start. If I do not hear back from them in a week I will go on to the postal authorities (the check was delivered by mail) and see if I can get them to pursue it. Definitely, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY. I have a street address for him and knew his employer but he has not been working there since January, 2011. I also talked to him by phone so I have what was a valid phone number for him, at least as of 10 days ago. Sigh, any one have a Schilke 60 Bass Bone mouthpiece they want to sell?

And don't forget to select the option that says this is a payment for "goods." Being able to file a case turns out to depend on doing this.

Thanks for the reminder. I just messaged him. And he got the message, because now he's blocked me. :P
