Hey...

With the remarkably good condition and the remarkably low price, it's GOING TO sell (regardless of playing characteristics).

Would you mind commenting on tuning characteristics? I've never had the privilege of playing one of those, and I've always been curious.

Again, even IF you were to say "the scale sucks", it's STILL (as pretty as that thing is) going to sell for $450. :|

...oh, and is the bore size 23/32", or something else?

In my opinion (for what it’s worth) the scale is manageable. I had experienced player try it with a tuner and with slide out he could play in modern pitch.
As far as bore size I measured the second valve tuning slide. Inside diameter approximately 17.5 mm and outside diameter 18.25 mm. In US standard size should be equivalent to 0.689 and 0.718 respectively. You are correct on the bore size of 23/32" which is equal to 0.718 and that would be the outer diameter of the tuning slide.
