Re: HN White King Jumbo 1265

(I finally get to say this)

If I didn't already have one...I'd be all over this! :)

Seems to me there is a lot of potential with this horn!

These are definitely beasts...in a good way!

Bump, been playing it in SoundWave rehearsals... excellent comments from the director and fellow band members.

I can't overblown on this, it's just all dark tone no matter how loud I play.

C'mon, Ian. I've heard you play! Sure it doesn't have a rat or sumthin' in it?

That was with the Conn - and I was REALLY blowing then!

They're really different, yes I can play louder than necessary when needed, but comparing the threshold where the tone starts to break up, the King 1265 seems to hold out a little longer before you start to hear the rat-iness. It takes more air to overblow than the Conn, but I can't do that all the time like on the Conn (or the much inferior King 2350 that I use now). Of course, once I stick in a normal mouthpiece - not the LM-12 - it's all smooth tuba tone. :tuba:

BUMP for price update and shipping update!

I'll also consider trades - I'm looking for front action BBb tubas or mini sousaphones...

Bump for price reduction. I need to move this to help pay for a couple plane tickets and possible moving costs.

Bump for price reduction - now $3000.

I have no need for three jumbos, let alone three that I do not use regularly.

The King is already packed up and just needs a buyer!
