(I finally get to say this)
If I didn't already have one...I'd be all over this!
Seems to me there is a lot of potential with this horn!
These are definitely beasts...in a good way!

WARNING: This tuba player has been known to get his groove on via bass guitar as well!
Bump, been playing it in SoundWave rehearsals... excellent comments from the director and fellow band members.
I can't overblown on this, it's just all dark tone no matter how loud I play.
C'mon, Ian. I've heard you play! Sure it doesn't have a rat or sumthin' in it?
That was with the Conn - and I was REALLY blowing then!
They're really different, yes I can play louder than necessary when needed, but comparing the threshold where the tone starts to break up, the King 1265 seems to hold out a little longer before you start to hear the rat-iness. It takes more air to overblow than the Conn, but I can't do that all the time like on the Conn (or the much inferior King 2350 that I use now). Of course, once I stick in a normal mouthpiece - not the LM-12 - it's all smooth tuba tone.
