SOLD: Yamaha F Tuba YFB-621sFor sale: Yamaha 3/4 F tuba, YFB-621s. Silver plated with 4 front action piston valves and a fifth thumb rotary valve. Low serial number (100006). Previously owned by the Toronto Symphony. This horn was recently tuned up and sonic-cleaned by Ron Partch who declared it to be in excellent condition. The 621 is small but has bite and power even through the low range, and of course it really sings up high. Fantastic low C. For those reasons I've found it to be a superior quintet horn and solo horn vs. other F tubas. Also great for jazz/commercial work, any kind of chamber setting, and lighter orchestral rep. Like most Yamaha horns this one has great overall response and intonation. $5500 includes a Yamaha plastic case and a Walt Johnson flight case ($900 value). The horn is located Toronto. Please email robteehan at gmail dot com. Thanks! EDIT - this horn is SOLD. Last edited by kontrabass on Sun Feb 17, 2013 3:06 am, edited 1 time in total.
Re: FS: Yamaha F Tuba YFB-621sAlso wanted to mention that trials are a possibility for those in the Toronto area.
Re: FS: Yamaha F Tuba YFB-621sBump - willing to consider reasonable offers!
Re: FS: Yamaha F Tuba YFB-621sDude,
You wanna try a flat trade for my Miraphone 181 6v? Love the horn but I just can't seem to keep up with maintenance of my rotary valve operation! You didn't mention a trade, but I thought I'd throw it out there. Al
Re: FS: Yamaha F Tuba YFB-621sThanks Al, but no, I'm getting out of the F tuba business
Re: FS: Yamaha F Tuba YFB-621sWhat about a trade for a YCB 621s?
Re: FS: Yamaha F Tuba YFB-621sNot looking to trade, I need the money for other non-tuba equipment. Thanks for the offers.
Re: FS: Yamaha F Tuba YFB-621sHello folks, after a long process it seems like my buyer has fallen off the face of the earth.
So this horn is back for sale again.
