Hello all! I have decided to sell my Firebird as I am in the process of buying a Kanstul F and can't have two F tubas! It is gold brass, vented, and 5-valved all in the right hand. I picked this horn out about two years ago from a selection of this firebird, a Petrouchka, Willson, Cerveny and Gronitz because the response and tone color are both fantastic. The rotors are the newer types that actually feel more like pistons then rotors because of how quick the response is in the fingers. It has served me well through my undergrad, got me into grad school and throughout my chamber ensemble experience. Also, in all my chamber groups, I have found this horn blends AMAZINGLY with other timbres along with its ability to perform really clean and smooth legato passages. My professor says this horn is one of the best F horns he ever played!
I'm selling this along with the MTS hard case that it came with for $7250 plus shipping. The horn is located in Amherst, MA and it can be arranged to meet somewhere for a play test possibly. However, I will not ship for testing. Thanks for looking!
EDIT: Soft case in the pictures is included as well!
