holton/york Eb's

Post by MikeMason »

so, for those that know, how do the large 4v holton, york, or conn Eb's really play. they intrigue me,but something tells me the intonation might be a problem. they don't seem to have valveslides easily accessible from the top either. some real beauties out there though. might be a nice compliment for a holton BAT(which ,by the way, is a great and descriptive word, the genesis of which,on this or the precursor board, was one of tubenet's best day's work).these come around from time to time, but i don't recall a good consumer report's blow by blow on them...
